Happy National Flag of Canada Day Abraham Erb!  It was 52 years ago today that Canada’s maple leaf flag was raised on Parliament Hill for the first time.  The government of Canada has invited everyone to take part in a “Share your Moment with the Flag Challenge” by posting a picture and/or video with the Canadian flag at #canadianflag.  Our students wore the official colours of Canada, red and white, and posed for a picture with our mascot, Erb and Otter, in celebration of today.  Our school is gearing up for the 150th birthday of Canada on July 1st.  We have many special events planned throughout this year including a “We Are Canada” community event coming on Thursday, June 22nd from 2-4:30 p.m.  Save the date and watch for more details as we count down!
