On Oct. 28, each class of students came to the gym to shoot baskets as a fund raiser for UNICEF. The event was called Hoops for Scoops because the class who collected the most money was rewarded with an ice cream party. Miss Watson’s class was the Primary class winner and Ms. Banks the Junior. Daily announcements prior to the event emphasized the importance of helping UNICEF meet the needs of underprivilged children around the world. Thanks very much to the willing and able students of the Spirit Squad who helped run the event, along with staff organizers Ms. Banks, Mrs. Hicks, and Mr. Snyder.
