Registration Information
Abraham Erb PS is a Kindergarten to Grade 6 school in the Waterloo Region District School Board. Students in the WRDSB attend their home school, which is determined by their home address. You cannot register for school until you have an address in Waterloo Region. Registrations are finalized by an in-person appointment during the last week of August 2026.
- If you are looking at houses or apartments and want to check which school is the home school for that address, you can find out at Student Transportation Services of Waterloo Region.
- Once you have an address in Waterloo Region, you can register for your home school online at www.wrdsb.ca/register. Follow the directions that apply to your situation. Account creation must be completed on a computer or Chromebook. The Online Registration Portal is closed from August 10-14.
- Information about international admission can be found at www.wrdsb.ca/international or by emailing international@wrdsb.ca.
- If you have questions about the curriculum or the school board policies, they can be found on the www.wrdsb.ca website.
Busing Information
Busing information will be updated in August on the Student Transportation Services of Waterloo Region website.
Before and After School Care
Information about Before and After School Care can be found on the WRDSB Before and After School Care website or by emailing care@wrdsb.ca.
The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) operates the program at Abraham Erb, which means that Early Childhood Educators from our Kindergarten classes also operate the Before and After School Care Programs. While the program is run by the Early Childhood Educators from Abraham Erb, registration and management is through the WRDSB Before and After School Staff at the Education Centre. The school office has limited information about the program. Every elementary school offers Before and After school care for children in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6.
Registration requires FOUR weeks notice before a child can begin attending the program. You can register up to six weeks in advance of your preferred start date. There are times when more than four weeks notice may be required before a child can begin attending the program, for example if the WRDSB needs to hire educators to support the program. You may be placed on a wait list if space is not available, if so, spaces will be offered to those on the waiting list in priority order of application date.
Class Lists
Class placement information will be available on School-Day on Monday, September 7, 2026. If you don’t have access to School-Day, you will be able to find your child’s classroom information on the morning of our first day of school – Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
